Taiyo Empresa Ltda Super Sony  " We will help you find what you are looking for in six different languages". Here is one place I found I can buy Chinese vegetables, like this Shanghai bock choi and all kinds of other goodies, from pots and pans to 1000 year old eggs.  It is located 350 mts south of the Gran Hotel de Costa Rica on calle 3 between avenida 8 and 10.                             Tel  506-221-1263

Chorizo China Meng Le  This place is located two doors south of the Super Sony mart on calle 3 between avenida 8 and 10.  They have delicious sausage, bacon and ducks. I like the sausage much better then what I've tasted in the past in San Francisco.   Tel 506-222-4652

Da Xing S.A.  One of the newer Chinese grocery/souvenir shops that opened up about a year ago. They have alot of foodstuffs and shoes.  It's the only place I've found that has Chinese red wine.  It's located 20 mts south and across the street from La Casa Tornillas on calle 9 (Estudiantes) between  avenida 8 and 10.    Tel   506-258-3092

Han San Supermercado Chino  I haven't been in here in quite awhile. I decided to stop in and see what was new.  They have alot more merchandise including a very nice frozen food section, with Dim Sum and an unusual rice pasta, that appeared to be made into a banana shape, and then sliced slightly on the diagonal, and a nice selection of pastries.  It's located 50 mts north and across the street from La Casa Tornillas on calle 9 (Estudiantes) between avenida 6 and 8.                         Tel 256-0471       Fax  356-1628
